Myriel Milicevic is an artist and interaction designer. With her Neighbourhood Satellites, she explores the hidden relationships between people and their natural, social and technical environment through participatory processes and practical-utopian designs.
These works are often created in collaboration with other designers and researchers and manifest themselves in international exhibitions, in classrooms, in public spaces and in the open field. She worked as an interaction designer during the founding years of Experientia s.r.l. in Turin and the Interaction Design Studios (IXDS) in Berlin. There, she led the long-term research project Gender Inspired Technology with Deutsche Telekom Innovation Laboratories / Design Research Lab. Prior to her professorship, she was also involved in various research projects at the FH Potsdam. Myriel Milicevic received her master's degree at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy, and her diploma in graphic design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She also studied Conceptual and Information Arts at San Francisco State University.
